Worth Too Much To Develop

In an OpEd article in the Grand Rapids Press, Patty Birkholz, former legislator and current Executive Director of the League of Women Voters, wrote that the dunes are worth too much to develop.
She writes “The White River Township application was a test of our threshold for protecting Michigan’s natural resources. Thanks to Michigan residents who spoke out, those who wrote in, and the DEQ’s fair evaluation, we passed that test.” …. “That work continues by speaking up now and it concludes at the ballot box when we elect legislators that care more about our traditional dunes than new, snaking driveways along them.
